As part of the Calgary Board of Education (CBE), Chinook Learning Services is taking measures to reduce the risk of transmission of respiratory illnesses, including COVID-19. These measures include: hand hygiene, respiratory etiquette, physical distancing, increased frequency of cleaning and disinfection and having staff and students stay home when sick.
In regards to wearing masks in classrooms, the CBE will align with current advice provided by Alberta Education and Alberta Health. We will continue to have ongoing conversations with government about the use of non-medical masks and will update you on any changes. The CBE recommends that students and staff wear masks in school.
