Linda’s professional leadership includes being Past President of the Alberta Learning Resources Council (Alberta Teachers Association) and Past President of the Canadian Association for School Libraries (Canadian Library Association). Linda is currently the Chairperson of the School Libraries Advisory Committee for the Canadian Library Association. She was a key initiator and consultant for the CBE Wired for Words Online Youth Book Club. She is a professional storyteller and member of The Alberta League for Encouraging Storytelling (T.A.L.E.S.). Linda facilitates workshops and other professional development activities through her service as an education consultant specializing in school libraries transforming into learning commons. Linda has been teaching the CBE Library Assistant Program since 2007 and enjoys adult learners because of their enthusiasm for lifelong learning: “My focus for adult learners is to equip them with effective inquiry skills and strategies to empower their future career goals.” Program Area |
