Refunds, Withdrawals & Transfers

Refunds & Withdrawals

Contact Registration regarding refunds and withdrawals. If you were 20 years of age or older as of September 1 of the current school year, course fees include a non-refundable Program Fee of $65. A full refund is given only when a class is cancelled by Chinook Learning Services. Refunds are not issued after the refund deadline or for non-attendance. Learning Resources must be returned at the time of withdrawal, for more information see Refundable Security Deposit for Textbooks.

Regular Courses

  • Fall 2018 - Refund deadline is September 19, 2018
  • Fall 2018 - Withdrawal deadline is November 2, 2018

Condensed Courses

  • September 2018 - Refund deadline is September 19, 2018
  • September 2018 - Withdrawal deadline is October 5, 2018
  • November 2018 - Refund deadline is November 21, 2018
  • November 2018 - Withdrawal deadline is December 7, 2018

New - Students 19 years of age or younger as of September 1 of the current school year are permitted to withdraw up until the withdrawal deadline. After the withdrawal deadline, students will remain on the class list and the mark they have earned will appear on their transcript.


Contact Registration regarding transfers. Transfers refer to a student moving between sections of the same course or to a more appropriate level of the same subject. Once classes have begun, transfers between two different subjects are not allowed. Transfers after the deadline date will be considered only in exceptional circumstances. Transfers will not be permitted from one term into subsequent terms. Re-registration procedures and fees apply.
