ACDSOur organization has utilized Chinook Learning Services Corporate Training solutions to prepare for our MS Office upgrade. In order to assist employees in developing their written communication skills, Bentall Kennedy in Calgary recently rolled out a ‘communication enhancement’ pilot program. The course content together with a comfortable learning environment made it possible for all staff, at every skill level, to acquire new information along with the opportunity to practice new skills. Class instructors engage with their students and encourage active participation. Anyone wanting to improve their business writing skills will benefit from these courses. Calgary Board of Education

Calgary Board of Education In 2012 Technology Support entered into a partnership with Chinook Learning Services to develop and deliver a customized leadership program to the extended leadership team designed to prepare them for future challenges in their work. Franca Best, Program Leader proposed an eleven course curriculum on par with any post-secondary institution program available in the Calgary area. The result has been the ability to meet or exceed our training requirements with far greater flexibility than other providers, and all at a fraction of the cost. Chinook Learning Services has been responsive to our training needs and partnered with us to align schedules and all elements of delivery with our logistical constraints. We are pleased to anticipate celebrating the first graduates from this program in 2013. We have had numerous opportunities to validate that our team will come away from the Chinook Learning Service experience with a set of ‘best in class’ tools to meet the growing leadership needs of their role.

All of the feedback I received from the employees that were reluctant to attend was all very positive. The training was mandatory and many had worked the night before. Chinook Learning Services customized our Outlook training course to demonstrate how to handle a mass volume of emails as well as mobile device use. Often our team members are on the move and need to be able to access emails from which ever device is within reach. The presenter provided tips and tricks from sorting and filtering messages to archiving and clean up. She was thorough, detailed and most of all, easy to follow as she guided us through step by step. Our staff walked away with lighter inboxes and a better understanding of all the amazing features Outlook has. Since 2015, our Human Resources team worked closely with Franca Best, Program Development Supervisor, at Chinook to develop a three year customized program that would allow our staff to earn two Leadership Specialization Certificates of Recognition. VivoAll of us at Vivo were so impressed with our instructor Thabani. With a room full of students with varying experience, ages, and different areas of interest Thabani somehow made a course about Word and Excel fun and informative. So much so that staff were asking if they could take the Advanced level when we book it. Everyone took away a few nuggets of information and appreciated the printed ‘cheat sheet’ of functions to reference after the course was over. Overall the 2 day course was money and time well spent!
